How to port a phone number from another service?

You need to purchase a dedicated sender name and be sure to select a phone number option when submitting your order. Or, if you already have an active sender name, you can purchase the phone number option separately.
Then, you need to immediately contact us and notify that you want to port a phone number, specify the number, and indicate which carrier currently manages it.

After that, we'll send you instructions on what is required to port the number from your current carrier. Please note that depending on your current carrier's rules, porting may take from a few hours to a few days. This process is beyond our control.
In most cases, for the porting process, you will need to ask your current carrier for your account number and port PIN. Then just share this data with us.

What number types are supported for porting?

Currently, we only support US mobile numbers.
You CAN'T port Alphanumeric, ShortCodes, or Toll-Free numbers to us.

Can you contact my current carrier and negotiate the porting process with them?

We do not negotiate with other carriers to manage their customers private accounts. You will have to request the necessary porting information and permissions for porting from them and then share it with us.

Is it possible to use the same phone number in a few services simultaneously?

You can't use the same phone number in our service and other services like Twilio simultaneously. If you port a phone number from another service to us, you will not be able to control and use them there anymore.

Can I port a phone number from my private cell phone to you?

Yes, you can port it to us. But as described above, when the porting is completed, this phone number will no longer be available on your SIM card since you can't use the same line in a few services simultaneously.
